June 9th - The GynoKid Monthly Show Kicks Off!
We're launching our 7-month run at the Kraine Theater with a new two-part format, plus fun directing news.
After such a joyous run in my hometown, I’m pumped to kick off The GynoKid’s monthly show at the Kraine Theater in NYC on June 9th at 7 pm ET. You can join in person at the Kraine or tune in virtually—either at showtime OR watch later.
As part of our new format, join us after the show for our Laugh + Learn Q&A with healthcare experts! Our June topic is Gender-Affirming Healthcare.
p.s. Tickets for our first 3 monthly shows (June 9th, July 14th, and August 11th) are online now.
Our New Show Format
Since launching The GynoKid in February, my conversations with audience members revealed just how fired up people were to learn more about their own bodies and general healthcare after seeing the show.
This directly inspired our new two-part format for The GynoKid’s monthly run!
Act 1: The GynoKid, my award-winning solo comedy show all about growing up as the child of small-town gynecologists.
Act 2: Laugh + Learn Q&A, an opportunity for audience members to stay after The GynoKid to learn about different topics from vetted health experts, moderated by yours truly. I’m excited to welcome local experts to the stage and for the audience (both in the theater and at home) to learn and ask questions in a low-stakes environment.
Our June Topic is Gender-Affirming Healthcare and was chosen in direct response to the anti-trans legislation sweeping across the country. Knowledge is power. Join us as we fight against misinformation about trans and non-binary healthcare by learning from healthcare experts working directly with trans and non-binary youth and adults.
Directing Alert: HUM - June 3rd at Caveat
I’m so proud to be directing writer/performer Julie Piñero’s beautiful show HUM, a deeply funny, emotional, and honest portrayal of growing up as a neurodivergent kid learning to trust her brain and herself.
Catch HUM on Saturday, June 3rd at 4pm at Caveat on the Lower East Side, featuring an opening set from Gastor Almonte and an improvised show score from Julia Chen.
