My mom, a nurse midwife, keeps a thank you card from a past patient framed on her office wall. It features an illustration of a woman holding a coffee cup on her head, with the words, “Ever the optimist, Mary uses her hot flashes to reheat her coffee.”
Menopausal humor has been a major part of my life as a GynoKid. Yet I find that there is a real gap in my knowledge about what perimenopause and menopause even look like beyond the jokes.
And I’m not alone. Even though half the population will experience menopause, so many of us feel like we’re flying blind.
So let’s talk about it.
This Friday, you’re invited to learn about menopause from experts at The GynoKid.
After my performance, I’ll be joined on stage by three fantastic OB/GYNs to discuss what menopause (and perimenopause) looks like for different patients, research in the field, and the resources they trust to learn more.
Not in New York? You can buy a virtual ticket and watch anytime.
See you Friday!

p.s. Can’t make Friday’s show? Tickets are available for the FINAL GynoKid show on December 8th!
