My Mom: Nurse Midwife AND Off-Off-Broadway Star??
Christine Dombrowski, CNM joins The GynoKid tonight!
Tonight, my award-winning show The GynoKid is back at the Kraine Theater in NYC, followed by a health expert panel on HPV with a familiar face: MY MOM!
I love running post-show talkback topics by my parents to get their opinions on health issues impacting their patients, and my mom highly recommended a talkback on HPV (human papillomavirus).
The most common STI, HPV—with over 200 strains!—is still vastly misunderstood by the general public. Since some of those strains can cause different kinds of cancer, I’m psyched to have my mom educate our audience tonight. Knowledge is power, y’all!

Love Horror Films?
This Sunday, we’re bringing Christopher Hwisu Kim’s upcoming family drama horror film E.S.L. to life at Try Anyway Table Reads! This will be the final installment of our summer workshop series, so don’t miss out. Sunday, 7pm at the Kraine Theater.
About the Film: After her estranged mother is diagnosed with cancer, Molly Cho attempts to reconnect with her by re-learning how to speak Korean—but in doing so, unlocks a dark evil that has been following her throughout her life.
[FUN FACT: Horror films scare the living daylights out of me, so I’ll be stress-eating popcorn during this entire show!]
Christmas Came Early!
This past Sunday, Craig T. Williams brought laugh-out-loud Christmas cheer to the Kraine Theater with the first live reading of his upcoming family musical comedy CHRISTMAS IN THE DREAMHOUSE.
Craig is not only a phenomenal comedy writer, but also a true pillar of the creative community in NYC and beyond. His work is a full-on celebration of Black families and Black love, and the worlds he builds fill your heart and soul with every joke and touching moment—a true master of his craft.
Witnessing his brilliant actors and beloved community showing up for HIM as he put himself out there with his newest project is something I’ll never forget. I cannot WAIT until this film is made and becomes the Christmas classic it’s destined to be!
See you at the theater!
Love,
Claire
